Heat Transfer in a Porous Medium over a Stretching Surface with Injection or Suction and with Different Thermal Boundary Conditions

Heat transfer in a porous medium over a stretching surface with injection or suction is studied. Two standard kinds of thermal boundary conditions are used for the surface. Isothermal and Iso-flux boundary conditions for the stretching surface are two standard boundary conditions which are used and discussed in the present work. Brinkman model is used for the medium. The governing equations are simplified using boundary layer approximations and these equations are solved by similarity solution method. In each case using suitable similarity parameters and functions partial differential equations are transformed to ordinary differential equations. The equations are solved numerically. Results obtained for velocity, temperature, shear stress and heat flux rate are plotted for different values of injection or suction and permeability. For better judgment similarity functions values are presented.
